Acting Vice President of Transportation

David Gedeon, AICP, has been appointed Acting Vice President of Transportation at TMACOG following the departure of Warren Henry to the City of Toledo. Gedeon has been with TMACOG for 16 years.

He started as a watershed planner in the Environmental Planning department in 1998. He has also led the Growth Strategies department, and was the Director of Commuter Services. He has been managing the Transportation Improvement Program (the TIP) for the last few years while handling Census data analysis and serving as staff liaison to the Air Quality Committee.

Gedeon will lead the nine-person Transportation department through a busy time. In 2014 and 2015 TMACOG will produce a new long range transportation plan, in addition to regular mandated work with data collection and analysis and service to members. “The Transportation department has a strong, stable staff,” said Gedeon. “Our emphasis in coming months is creating the best long range plan that we can and remaining proactive on the TIP.”  He added that he will also rely on the continuing relationship with transportation partners throughout the region. “We have committed governmental and non-governmental members who are active in all levels of transportation planning,” he said. “We will be working to maintain and grow those effective relationships.”

Gedeon is a graduate of the University of Toledo where he earned his bachelor’s and master’s in geography and planning. He is a certified planner through the American Planning Association. Contact David Gedeon at 419.241.9155 ext. 125.
